As a small business owner and entrepreneur, I know how challenging it can be to find the right workspace. Traditional industrial leases often come with high costs and rigid terms, while self-storage units lack the functionality needed to truly support a growing business.
I started ProSpace because I believed there had to be a better solution—something that could meet the real needs of small businesses, contractors, and entrepreneurs looking for flexibility, affordability, and professionalism in a workspace.
Here’s why I founded ProSpace and how it’s designed to support businesses like yours.
The Vision Behind ProSpace
The idea for ProSpace came from my own experiences and the challenges I noticed in the local business community. Small business owners, tradespeople, and independent contractors all seemed to face a similar issue: there was a gap between self-storage and full-scale industrial spaces.
Self-storage could only go so far, and industrial leases were often more than these businesses needed, both in terms of space and budget. I wanted to create something that filled this gap—a space that’s professional, functional, and accessible to businesses of all sizes.
Designing Spaces That Work for Real Businesses
As we prepare to break ground on ProSpace in 2025, every detail has been designed with business owners in mind. From drive-in garage doors for easy loading and unloading to 200 Amp 3-phase power for high-demand tools, we’re focused on creating spaces that offer everything contractors and small business owners need. Each unit will also include office space, bathrooms, WiFi, and access to shared conference rooms—so that ProSpace is more than just a storage facility; it’s a true workspace that will help entrepreneurs grow their businesses.
Flexibility and Affordability: Key Ingredients for Growth
One of my main goals with ProSpace is to create a solution that allows for growth without the constraints of a traditional industrial lease. Our flexible terms will enable businesses to scale up or down as needed, paying only for the space they truly use. This adaptability is critical for growing businesses that want to respond to new opportunities without the stress of long-term commitments.
Building a Community for Contractors and Entrepreneurs
While ProSpace is still in development, I am excited to see it become a gathering place for local talent and innovation. ProSpace will be more than just a workspace; it’s intended as a community of like-minded professionals who understand each other’s challenges and goals. I look forward to watching small business owners connect, collaborate, and support each other as ProSpace becomes a central hub for contractors and entrepreneurs in Kansas City.
